Just as lock down began towards the end of March I was asked if I could adapt an activity to be done by families at home as part of A.C.A.V.A’s Flourish program.
Tiny Ocean Plant’s was adapted to make phytoplankton masks out of recycled house hold materials. The image above is of me modelling a prototype!
To see the activity beautifully illustrated and to take part follow this link to Flourish’s blog.
Tiny Ocean Plants by Camilla Brendon
In the ocean there are millions of tiny microscopic plants called phytoplankton. They produce much of the oxygen on earth and store carbon dioxide which is important to combat climate change.
They also look amazing!
Today we are going to make a Tiny Ocean Plant inspired mask.
