Kelp Forest - Enhancing Biodiversity and Fighting Climate Change
Kelp is large brown algae that form forests in shallow waters. They provide coastal protection, breeding grounds for countless species, produce oxygen, store carbon and are used to make food and medicine.
Artist Camilla Brendon has recreated one of these incredible forests on land out of recycled materials and she invites you to come and experience the wonder of kelp this Spring at London Performance Studios. Kelp and Critters (an art workshop) and What Kelp Does for Us (a panel debate) will accompany the installation.
