Yellow Rock

Yellow Rock was an instalation piece by Camilla and Jennifer Copps in the Stanley Picker Gallery, Kingston.

If one were to hear the words, 'Yellow Rock' bellowed out over the speaker during a Barn Dance, you would stop dancing, lean over and embrace your dance partner with a hug.

The new piece 'Yellow Rock', combines Camilla Brendon and Jennifer Copps's practice.
The work enables the audience to observe the traditional gallery space from a fresh approach, as the piece appears to literally out of the wall and seep onto the floor.

The artists have acquired the term 'Yellow Rock' to verbalise the feeling that overtakes the viewer as they enter the gallery.
